The Nursing Journal of India
Nursing Journal of India (NJI) is the one of the world’s oldest journal regularly published with a legacy of more than 100 years.

This article, based on the grant from TNAI, sought to explore workplace violence among nursing personnel with a view to drafting a policy document for the safety of nurses against workplace violence. It covers analysis of association of workplace violence with demographic variables, experiences of nurses who suffered workplace violence and predictors of workplace violence. It studied prevalence, types, circumstances, associated factors, and incident reporting about workplace violence faced by Indian nurses. Based on this study, a policy document with name like Workplace Violence Prevention Policy for nurses can be implemented at national level for improving the safety of working nurses in hospitals and other health settings.
