TNAI 2024: Achievements Initiatives and the Road Ahead
As 2024 draws to a close, it is an ideal time to reflect on the Trained Nurse's Association of India's (TNAI) remarkable achievements this year, reaffirming our commitment to advancing the nursing profession and fostering a healthier India.
One of the most transformative milestones was the successful implementation of digital voting for TNAI State Branch Elections from April 1, 2024. This technological advancement underscored our dedication to transparency, accessibility, and inclusivity for its members.
Another highlight is the ongoing success of the e-Learning Management System (LMS), which has empowered nurses since its launch in 2019. By providing dynamic educational resources, TNAI ensures its members remain at the forefront of healthcare innovation.
Introduced in 2016, the SNAI-TNAI Membership New Plan, continues to bring more student nurses under the SNAI umbrella, offering lifelong membership and numerous benefits. This initiative reflects our commitment to nurturing the next generation nursing professionals. The old SNAI Subscription plan will cease on 31 March 2025.
Celebrating nurses has always been at the heart of TNAI's mission. The International Nurses Day celebration on May 12, 2024, with the theme 'Our Nurses, Our Future: The Economic Power of Care' honoured nurses' contributions and reignited the enduring legacy of Florence Nightingale.
Principals Meetings Across States: TNAI, in collaboration with its respective state branches and the Registrars of the Nursing Councils, successfully organised principals meetings across various states to foster dialogue and address key issues in nursing education.
This year, TNAI collaborated with stakeholders to organise initiatives like the Chief Nursing Officers (CNO) Meeting and the TNAI-WHO Workshop on National Survey Outcome Dissemination. These events provided critical insights into healthcare challenges and solidified TNAI's role as a catalyst for change.
In addition, TNAI introduced four new initiatives in 2024:
A particularly touching moment was the felicitation of retired TNAI staff, a reflection of our gratitude for their invaluable contributions spanning more than three decades and our efforts to keep them connected to the TNAI family. The scholarship application process was refined and upgraded through digital platforms.
Looking ahead, the 78th National Conference, themed 'Leadership in Nursing: Inspiring Vision, Driving Change' , scheduled for December 6-7, 2024, promises to be a landmark event with over 2,000 participants. It will celebrate nursing leadership and innovation, marking the culmination of a year of progress.
As we step into 2025, TNAI remains steadfast in its mission to inspire, empower, and lead. The achievements of 2024 remind us of the power of collective effort and vision. Together, we will continue to elevate the nursing profession and contribute to a healthier India.
Wishing you all in advance, a Happy and Blessed New Year 2025!
