Premature Rupture of Membranes (PROM), a major obstetric disorder, can cause serious difficulties for both the mother and the newborn. Advances in the understanding of PROM have led to development of improved diagnostic techniques novel treatment approaches, and promising preventive strategies. This review explores the pathophysiology, risk factors, diagnostic innovations, and treatment modalities, along with current research trends in regenerative medicine and micro biome modulation.
